Enjoy with a side of cod
Hands on: 35 min
Ingredients:
Meatballs
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground turkey
1 piece bread
1/2 onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Sauce
3 tbsp butter
1 cup chicken stock
1 cup milk
1/4 cup white wine
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Cooking:
Meatballs:
Soak milk in bread for 5 min. Combine with other ingredients in bowl and mix until well combined.
Melt butter in pan over medium burner. Cook meatballs on all sides for total of 12-15 minutes, turning every couple minutes.
Sauce:
Melt butter in pan over medium burner. Add flour steadily in small amounts, whisking continuously to combine and prevent clumping, about 2-3 min.
Add wine and beef stock and whisk until combined. Add remaining ingredients and whisk until combined. Add meatballs to sauce, stirring to coat, and simmer on low burner for 10-12 minutes or until sauce has thickened.
